"An Annual Day of
Celebration, Remembrance and Tribute
for the Entire Kirkland Community"
Special
Celebration Notes:
- Remember,
personal fireworks are not legal in Kirkland so be safe and sane and
enjoy a fabulous fireworks display over the lake.
- Viewing
will be possible from many Kirkland locations. (An excuse for a deck
party?) There will be entertainment at Marina Park all day.
- The
Boat Launch area will be closed during the parade from approximately
10:30 until 1:30 PM but will remain open until midnight after the
fireworks.
- To
assure the safety of all of us we have arranged for a significant
police and fire presence during the events.
- Traffic
will be heavy and parking is going to be tight in the downtown area all
day so be sure to share a ride, take a bus, ride a bike or take a walk
if possible.
- Also
Please Note:
DUE TO LIABILITY AND SAFETY CONCERNS, NO CANDY IS TO BE THROWN INTO THE
CROWD. IF YOUR GROUP IS PLANNING TO DISPENSE CANDY PLEASE HAVE
“WALKERS” PASSING IT OUT AT THE SIDELINES.
PLEASE HELP US KEEP OUR KIDS
AND OUR PARADE SAFE
- KIRKLAND’S
4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION
“Space, The Final Frontier” Theme
MERCHANTS, PARTICULARLY RESTAURANTS, BE PREPARED! THIS COULD BE A HUGE
DAY FOR YOU.
BOATERS PLEASE NOTE: THE BOAT LAUNCH AND LAUNCH PARKING WILL BE CLOSED
FROM 10:00 AM UNTIL 1:30 PM WHEN THE PARADE ENDS.
We expect July 4th will be a pretty busy day in Kirkland filled with
members of our community. Therefore, it’s going to be a bit crowded and
some streets will be temporarily re-routed. Getting from Marina Park to
Juanita Beach and back will be difficult. Throughout the day there will
be a heavy police, fire and marine patrol presence throughout the
celebration areas.
Have a wonderful and safe 4th of July!
